After the bears come out of hibernation and before the salmon runs begin, the bears gather on the coasts and search for clams. This makes for an excellent time to view and photograph the bears, new cubs are small and cute, the males are raging full of hormones wanting to wrestle each other for dominance and these behaviors are at their highest in the month of June. It's a spectacle that few get to observe.
Our trips are for everyone, whether you are a beginner photographer, a seasoned professional photographer or just a nature and bear lover, I hope you'll join me in June 2026 for a once in a lifetime experience.

$9100$8600 until 12/15/2025- Day 1, June 5th, 2026 - Depart Kodiak Alaska via float plane and land at our vessel on the coast of Katmai. Get orientated, a quick lunch and head out to view the bears. (Lunch and Dinner Included)
- Day 2-7, June 6th-11th, 2026 - These will be full days of brown bear trekking and viewing in various bays of the Alaskan Katmai coast. We will take a break in the middle of the day for a delicious lunch, and then be back out in the field in the afternoon looking for bears. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
- Day 8 June 12th, 2026 - We gather our gear and prepare to be picked up via float plane. We will experience scenic views from the sky as we land in Kodiak.
****You are responsible for lodging in Kodiak prior to June 5th and after June 11th in Kodiak. We recommend arriving to Kodiak on June 3rd and departing Kodiak on June 13th. Jason can help you with suggestions on lodging and dining for the days spent on Kodiak.
