The Details

  • Overview:

    Bandhavgarh

Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Vindhya Hills, Bandhavgarh’s landscape is one of India’s most visually striking tiger reserves. A mosaic of dense sal forests, bamboo thickets, open grasslands, rocky escarpments, and ancient ruins creates an atmosphere that feels both wild and timeless. This varied terrain supports an extraordinary diversity of wildlife and offers outstanding photographic opportunities. Bandhavgarh is celebrated for having one of India’s highest tiger densities, giving visitors excellent chances to encounter the Bengal tiger in a truly natural setting. Beyond tigers, the reserve is home to leopards, sloth bears, gaur, sambar deer, chital, langurs, and over 250 bird species.

    Pench

The place that inspired Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book, Pench National Park offers a beautiful blend of rolling hills, open meadows, teak forests, and winding river corridors that create one of Central India’s most scenic safari landscapes.  The reserve is known for healthy populations of Bengal tigers, while also offering frequent sightings of leopards, wild dogs (dhole), sloth bears, gaur, jackals, and abundant deer species including chital and sambar. Its network of grasslands and forest edges creates ideal habitat for predators and prey alike, making every game drive dynamic and unpredictable. Birdlife is equally rewarding, with over 300 species recorded throughout the park. Whether tracking a tiger through golden teak woodland or watching a pack of wild dogs move across the open landscape, Pench delivers a rich and diverse wildlife experience.

    Tadoba

Tadoba offers one of India’s most rugged and rewarding tiger landscapes, where dry deciduous forests, bamboo groves, open meadows, rocky terrain, and shimmering lakes create a dramatic setting for wildlife encounters. The reserve’s relatively open habitat often allows for exceptional visibility, making it one of the premier destinations in India for observing and photographing Bengal tigers. Tadoba’s rich ecosystem supports an impressive diversity of wildlife, including leopards, sloth bears, dholes (Indian wild dogs), gaur, nilgai, sambar deer, chital, marsh crocodiles, and  large variety of birds, including crested serpent eagles, paradise flycatchers, motted wood owl, fishing owl and Indian pitta, making it a one India's top destinations for wildlife lovers and photographers.

Guest Testimonials

"My new nickname for Jason is “photographer extraordinaire” If you are a photographer, Jason will ensure you are set up for the perfect shots; if you are not a photographer you get amazing views to soak in and enjoy, knowing you will get a copy of Jason’s amazing photos.

The trip was well organized with Jason and the local guide taking good care of their guests.

It’s hard to pick only one highlight so here are a few — seeing my first tiger and a tiger meandering down the road, watching young adult elephants trying to dunk each other in a river, enjoying a baby rhino nursing."

"I was fortunate enough to be able to take The Ultimate India Trip April 2025. On the safaris we were in jeeps and I felt very safe. We had numerous sightings of leopards, tigers, sloth bears, peacocks, owls, flamingos and many other animals native to India. It was an experience that I will never forget. Jason Holzworth took excellent care of us, making sure that we were in excellent positions to see the wildlife and we enjoyed awesome accommodations and food. I plan to take more trips with Jason and I consider him a friend now."

__________

Just returned from the Wild India trip and it was wonderful.  I must say Jason goes out of his way to make sure everyone is having a good time and has everything they need.  I have never had a trip leader reach out while traveling to make sure we were ok coming and going home! A nice touch that shows how much he cares about his clients. Needless to say the trip itself was well done and we saw beautiful leopards, tigers, one horned rhinos and elephants! Of course there were many beautiful birds as well as lots of other critters to keep us entertained! Jason was also generous with his time for anyone who wanted help editing their photos in our down time.  If you are thinking of going on a trip with Jason, just do it!
