Frontier of the Brown Bear - Late July 2026
July 30th - August 9th, 2026
Join Us as we explore the Coasts of Katmai National Park in search of the Brown Bears that call this area home. We will be visiting multiple areas of the Katmai Coast, where we will hike inland and get an unique and intimate experience photographing and viewing the Alaskan Coastal Brown Bear. This is not a trip to Brooks falls or anything like it. This trip will focus on bears fishing as the salmon runs will have begun, as well as seeing moms and cubs - the cubs will be bigger than the June trip as they will have put on about 40 lbs, but don't worry they will still be cute.
Our trips are for everyone, whether you are a beginner photographer, a seasoned professional photographer or just a nature and bear lover, I hope you'll join me in June or late July 2026 for a once in a lifetime experience.

- Day 1, July 31st, 2026 - Arrive in Homer, Alaska: Explore Homer on your own. Lodging not Included.
- Day 2 August 1st, 2026 - We will depart Homer on the boat as we make our way to Halo Bay. On the way we will keep our eyes peeled for ocean wildlife such as whales. (Dinner Included)
- Day 3, August 2nd 2026 - We will wake up in Halo Bay and begin our day in the morning looking for the Coastal Brown Bears of Katmai! (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
- Days 4-8, August 3rd-August 7th, 2026: These will be full days of brown bear trekking and viewing. We will take a break in the middle of the day for a delicious lunch, and then be back out in the field in the afternoon looking for bears. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included).
Day 9, August 8th, 2026 : We gather our gear and prepare to be picked up via float plane. We will experience scenic views from the sky as we land in Kodiak. We say our good byes, and you are free to explore Kodiak as the trip is over. It is suggested that you stay in Kodiak one night as a buffer day and flight out mid-day the following day. Lodging not included.
